Date Reminder 1.0
 1998 David Veasey

Date Reminder requires Windows 95 or better.
Released on 7/14/98.

The Editor:
You can use the editor to type in the dates that you want reminders for. Put the 1 or 2 digit number in for the month and the day, no letters or extra spaces should be entered. Just remember, Date Reminder will only come up with a message on the day you put in, not earlier. So if you want a warning message then you should put in another date for a few days earlier. Hitting the Remove Blank Spaces button will remove any empty spaces so that all the dates will be right next to each other. Hitting the Put Dates In Order button will remove any extra blank spaces and then put the dates in order.

The Reminder:
The Reminder application MUST be in the same folder as the Editor, but a shortcut of it should be in the Startup folder. All the Reminder does is check to see if it is a date you wanted a message for and if it is it will show the message you typed in the editor. If it is not a date you put in a message for then it will just quit without doing anything. If the Reminder application is in the Startup folder then every time Windows starts up the Reminder program will run and display a message if necessary.

Additional Notes:
You can't enter more than one line for the message.
Multiple messages for one day are allowed, they will just show up one at a time.
The Reminder application does NOT remain open after it checks for dates, unless it needs to show a message. Therefore, if you leave your computer on past midnight then you will NOT autmatically get a message unless you open the program again.

Registering:
Before registering you will only be able to enter up to 8 dates for reminder messages. After you register and enter the registration code the Next, Previous, and Go To Page buttons in the editor will be enabled. You will then be able to enter up to 368 messages. To register run the register program and follow the instructions. After Kagi has received your payment you will get an E-Mail from them saying that they got your money. Then I will send you an E-Mail that has your registration code in it. If you missed the registration code, or at any time if you lose it, then please E-Mail me and I will resend you the registration code. Everyone in America that puts in their address will get a disk with the newest version on it, and their registration code in the mail. Please do not distribute your registration code. If I find out that you gave someone else your registration code then that code will be removed from all future versions of Date Reminder.
